Bowel Prep Program

Bowel Prep is a program designed to provide information and reminders to help you be well prepared for your colonoscopy.

It is very important to have clear bowels at the time of your procedure to increase safety1, improve detection of lesions2 and reduce the length of the procedure3.

Bowel Prep is a sophisticated multi-language reminder system designed by gastroenterologists and available to health care professionals to improve the percentage of patients arriving well prepared for their procedure.

The Clinical Care Standards have been introduced in 2018 by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality which outlines 9 areas which are the minimum standard for clinicians providing colonoscopies. Bowel preparation is highlighted and requires practices to provide individualised dosing regimens specific to patient’s co-morbidities, regular medications and prior response to bowel preparation with the provision of consumer-appropriate instructions on how to use the bowel preparation product which is language-specific. Bowel Prep allows every practice to be compliant with each of these points.
